Once again, we were able this year to celebrate Al Andalus. Never before, I found so many difficulties to summarize the happenings of a situation. I see so many different aspects of this event, that to be truthful I find it difficult to be concise, besides the fact that this description will only be the reality I have lived according to my own perception.

But let’s start from the beginning. After a full year working on this project we receive the news, one month before, that we are not allowed to celebrate Al Andalus in the area elected due to a fire occurred in the Los Alcornocales Park nearby the site. Although completely destroyed, we have to agree with the Authorities. Before cancelling the event we try to look for another suitable site. The possibility of another site appeared, it was not what we would have liked, but the only thing available. Decisions had to be made, cancelling the Festival would have been an easier option but we deeply felt consideration for all the people that have supported this project throughout the year, also by buying their flights from far away months before. So we took the risk. From here onwards circumstances started occurring one after the other in a very magical way. The right people coming at the right moment, how obstacles were overcome easily. How we all managed to set everything up in one week, through harmony and joy, without stress. It was really fulfilling to be able to experience the union of various people of different aspects of life working together in peace and freedom to create a space for the benefit of all. The ideal world manifested in this dimension; it felt like time did not exist, up to a point that for a moment I personally forgot about the Festival itself! We hope that all present were able to feel this way too.

The Festival itself on a spiritual level was the result of the high vibrations we managed to achieve during the previous week while setting up. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy. Each area was done beautifully, considering the limitations of time and material available. Each an every person that participated in this creation expressed their best abilities and the result, according to the sensations of my heart, was amazing and wonderful. To me Divine Love is the only word that could best describe the experience. The great decoration by The Frogz & Wendy Trip Colors, spectacular visuals by Orange Connection and Manito, the music was excellent most of the time, the performances, cinema by Phil Stebbing, workshops, especially the children area that worked very well, the market and food stalls, the opening and closing rituals by Eva and Mike, all the people setting up everything, those working, cleaning during the Festival, also the Security team felt the vibe and were very respectful. We will always be grateful to those amazing Pine Trees which covered the entire site, without which we would have experienced great heat.

Spiritually I find that a great work was done through the unique presence of all attending. Vibrations were high and for sure this has caused a change in the energy field of each and everyone, affecting at the same time, in one way or another, the energy field of the whole Planet. And on this level I personally feel completely fulfilled by the experience.

There were people from all parts of the world, a real Union of Cultures. It was very beautiful, and we are very grateful for all of you that were there.

One aspect that made me a little disillusioned was to see thousands of cigarette butts on the ground and various rubbish around. This is something that still escapes my comprehension as to why there is always such a lack of respect for the environment but I guess this is part of the process of evolving and learning.

Again these are my own personal experiences, and have described those aspects that I care about, I am also aware that there could be a large discussion as to many other aspects, important to each and everyone of you who have attended which are equally important, and it would be interesting to receive these reviews to arrive at a more complete picture.

Besides everything, through Al Andalus, in one way or other happiness was felt, each one of us in its own measure and according to the perception of his/her reality. In all senses, a unique and unforgettable experience, pushing us a little step forward in the spiral of evolution towards………. THE UNKOWN.

Thank you all for your participation hoping that life will allow us to celebrate again another adventure in 2009.

According to many, one of the important thing that was achieved during this celebration, is that we were able to maintain the same feelings that in our past events, even though there were many more people and a much more complicated site and organization. The reasons are many, we highlight the special energies of the persons involved in the production of the event, the beautiful place which was given from Mother Earth and the presence of each one of you who was present at the event.

A special thank you to the Town Hall of San Jose del Valle and especially to the Mayor and the owner of the camping who believed in this project, and trusted without knowing us. As well, we will always be grateful to Pilar Gonzalez for her support, in everything, without which it would not have been possible to carry out this great dream.

A great thank you to all the artists that have participated, who have been part of this vision, for giving us your trust. It was very beautiful to know that many artists still carry within them the true Spirit of Trance of sharing and exchanging, beyond self importance and materialism, knowing that we are all Divine instruments playing in this great orchestra called HUMANITY.

Many of the objectives that we proposed ourselves for this event have been achieved, and even though we were not able to recover the costs, to remember the feelings and the happiness that was felt, see how people were looking after the environment by helping to pick up the rubbish, see the surprise faces of those that never experienced this type of events, and listen to the positive comments of those already accustomed, gives us courage and strength to keep on working so that we can all gather again in the next edition of Al-Andalus 2008.

Also there were many things that did not come out as we wanted or like we had planned, some ideas never even got materialized, for lack of funds, or personnel, or inexperience etc., for this reason we are really grateful for your patience and your understanding for any unfortunate happening, lack of something or delay which may have occurred. Thanks to this experience we now know which ones are those areas or points which need and can be bettered.

To organize this Festival has been a great challenge, the difficulties have been many, especially economical, legal and political, the pressure of the authorities, having to deal with persons or companies that are only interested in money or its own interests, and some without ethic or professionalism. It is the other side of the coin, the shadow that nobody want to see but which is why not many events are organized, as there are so many obstacles on the way that it is very easy to be discouraged, sometimes one can get lost in this spider's web and finish forgetting the reason which pushed to organize it in the first place. But we are convinced that besides everything, we have to go on fighting, it does not matter the difficulties, it is worth it because the only way that we can proceed with this evolution is by uniting, meeting and sharing and not through war but through laughter, dancing, expressing our beauty, appreciating the art in each one, connecting with the Earth, and discovering the infinite possibilities to arrive at an ideal world, and each festival or gathering gives us a special opportunity to achieve this. This is the only reason which makes any sense for us to go on.

Again this year we have celebrated this wonderful life in Santa Fe, near the hot springs. Thanks to the good team and the good vibe while setting up, the party was very beautiful. We had fun like kids putting up this celebration, between sun and rain, slipping in the mud and many laughters! Flowing with the rhythm of Mother Earth, we started the party on Saturday midday until Sunday night. Many new people participated and many old friends that we didn't see for a long time. Thank you for being there, we hope to see you soon.......

This event gave us the opportunity to celebrate the summer solstice in a special place that Mother Earth reserved for us under the shade and breeze of pine trees.
Various people from different parts of Spain and different nationalities united to work together towards a common vision, expressing our best abilities freely. No plans, no one in charge, we hardly knew each other, but the result was excellent.
Of course, as humans that we are, we all had to deal with our long time friend "The Ego", but this is what the process of evolution is all about, the dissolution of ego to become one with all, and is only when we work together that we can be conscious of it, and understand how we can better ourselves. Patience, understanding and a lot of laughter usually helps! We are all mirrors of the same self, what I see in you I have in me, INLAKESH.
Despite our small differences and misunderstandings, magic was in the air, and everyone enjoyed themselves fully, which is the most important of all.

A big thanks to all of you who have made, with your presence, the celebration of this event so special.
Never like this time have we allowed the Universal Spirit express itself through us without alter it with our thoughts.....and the result was a wonderful experience!

Having to start one day after the planned date gave all present the possibility to participate in one way or another to the setting up and preparation of the event, and this created, in our opinion, a feeling of belonging and union between all which left a mark during the rest of the party.
In this way we realise how the success of the event depends directly on the contribution of one's own energy.
It is difficult to describe in words and detail all the special moments we all shared and the different kind of art expressions we have appreciated. (can't help mentioning Ralf climbing up the pole fixing the parachute!!)

Expressing ourselves freely following the beat of our hearts have taught us more about who we are and understand better the walk that each one of us is going through.

In our opinion, this celebration has been the achievement of the vision of United Tribes, thus giving us more strength to follow this way.

After a good year of travelling here and there, meeting people and experiencing life on Planet Earth we came back for our annual meeting in Garcé, this little oasis in the middle of the Granada province. A very familiar party where we all experienced a special vibration, high frequencies of union and love with all beings. A glimpse of a united world full of peace, joy and laughter. This experience confirmed that this is possible and as a result gave us the guidelines on which we have based all our future events. Some unforgettable moments!! Thank you all for being there!
